Satan is released

Three Woes

For the saints “the Day of the Lord” is a day of blessing, but for the Nations it is a day of woe.

John described the last three trumpets as three woes to come on mankind, saying,

I heard an eagle flying in midheaven, saying with a loud voice, “woe, woe, woe, to those who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound” (Revelation 8:13).

The eagles are the end time saints, the fourth living creatures that will be gathered up when Christ returns, as He told us in Matthew 24.1

The expression, “those who dwell on the earth,” is used in Revelation 13:14, and 17:8, to describe those who will not be not saved. But, the eagles who “fly in mid-heaven” will be saved. They are not affected by the plagues of the seven trumpets. Like the Ten plagues on Egypt, they do not harm the children of God.

The first four trumpets were plagues on the lawless in the kingdom of heaven. Each trumpet removed a third of the kingdom of heaven, just as a third of the Angels fell with Satan.

The last three trumpets are three woes on all the people of the earth. Only the saints will escape from these three woes.

The first is the release of Satan, and his final deception of the world. The second woe is the Great Battle that ends mankind’s existence, but Christ will come for saints. The third woe is the last trumpet that calls up the saints, and calls the world to judgment.

These three woes are the punishment of those who refuse to repent after the sanctuary of God’s house has been fully cleansed, and the prayer of Jesus has been fulfilled. These are the three woes on the people of the world who are without excuse.

After 1,000 Years (Revelation 20)

We know from Revelation 20:7-8, that after Satan has been bound for 1,000 years, he will be released from the Abyss, to deceive the nations one last time, to gather them together at Armageddon.

In Chapter 20, an Angel with the key to the abyss, locked Satan up for 1,000 years. In Chapter 9, the Angel with the key to the abyss releases Satan.

By this time, the Sanctified Church is fully established. All the deceptions of Latin theology have been removed. The kingdom of heaven has been fully cleansed, as Daniel prophesied.

But man’s nature is to sin. The natural man rejects the things of God, and Satan will easily fool mankind once again.

We can understand why God allows this attack of Satan. By this time, the world knows there is only one Church with the truth, and the power of God. All those who believe in Jesus are “one” as Jesus prayed for. All the prophecies of the Bible have been shown to have been fulfilled. The people of the world are without excuse.

Therefore, those who refuse to enter the Church to receive God’s grace will be punished. The Apostle Paul said that because they did not receive the love of the truth, to be saved, God will send them strong delusion, so that they will believe the lie.

The Sanctified Church is the Church of the living God, the dwelling place of God. By rejecting the Church, the people of the world reject God Himself, and so their torment is well deserved. They will be deceived by Satan once again and tormented once again.

The Locusts

The Smokescreen

John described two plagues of Satan in the end times: locusts and frogs. The locusts are released first.

In Revelation 9, an Angel releases Satan, who has been bound for one thousand years.

When the bottomless pit is opened, and “smoke went out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit” (Revelation 9:2).

We often use the English expression “smoke screen” to describe something designed to obscure, confuse, or mislead. That is the meaning described here. We are told that the sun and the air are darkened by the smoke.

The sun refers to God throughout the Book of Revelation (for examples, Revelation 12:1, and 21:23). The air refers to the spiritual world. In Ephesians 2:2, Satan is called “the Prince of the power of the air.”

The “smoke screen” of Satan takes men’s eyes away from God, and blind them from the truth of the spiritual world. When they can no longer see God and the power of Satan, they are easily misled.

The smokescreen that always keeps men from seeing God and the spiritual world, is the world itself.

The Apostle John described the world as, “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.” These are the things that prevents us from entering God’s Church, and receiving the love of God. John said, “Do not love this world, or the things of this world, for if anyone loves the things of this world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2:16).

As soon as Satan is released, he blinds the people of the world with a smokescreen, that is “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.”

Locusts harm the unrepentant

In Revelation 9, when the Angel opened the bottomless pit, out of the smoke, comes locusts. This was one of the plagues that Moses brought on Egypt.

Like the plagues on Egypt, this plague does not hurt the people of God. It only affects those who are not in the Sanctified Church. It is a plague on those who do not have the seal of the living God on their foreheads.

Verse 4 says, “they were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.”

In verse 11, we learn that the locusts have Satan as their king, “the angel of the abyss.” The name of Satan is given as Abaddon, Apollyon – in Greek, Apolluón, meaning “destroyer.” Satan comes to “kill and destroy.” But Christ came to bring “life and life abundantly,” (John 10:10).

The locusts are not permitted to kill anyone, but only to torment with their sting for 5 months. This can only be 150 years, 5 months of 30 days. Throughout the entire Book of Revelation, and Daniel, days have been shown to represent years. And here we can see it again.

The first four trumpets are over a period of 600 years, from 1917 AD until 2493. From the time that the Holy Spirit was poured out until the cleansing of the sanctuary after 2,300 days, or years. This gives us about 150 years, for the first four trumpets, and now we are specifically told that the fifth trumpet is a period of 5 months, another 150 years.

Bowl of Wrath

Hail and fire mixed with blood

Sores on those who worship the image of the beast and receive his mark

(the Trinity and changing the Sabbath)

A great mountain burning with fire enters the sea (the Sanctified Church appears throughout the word)

The sea became as blood

(spiritual death for baptizing in the kingdom of the beast)

The Spirit of Wormwood enters the rivers and springs

The rivers and springs become blood; those in the kingdom of the beast drink an evil spirit

A third of the sun, and moon, and stars darkened

4. The sun scorched men with fire, the Spirit of God brings judgment/ 5. The throne of the beast is darkened

Satan is released

6. The River Euphrates is dried up

What is the meaning of the sting of these locusts? The Apostle Paul told us very simply, “the sting of sin is death” (1 Corinthians 15:56).

The Deception of the Locusts

The Apostle Paul explained the deception of Satan in the last days as a reliance on the flesh, the doctrines of demons, and deceiving spirits.

The prophet Joel first described these demons, called locusts,

their appearance is like the appearance of horses, and like the swift steeds they so run, with a noise of chariots …before them the people writhe in pain, all their faces are drained in colour. (Joel 2:4-6).

In Revelation Chapter 9, John said,

On their heads appeared to be crowns of gold.
Their faces were like the faces of men.
They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.
They had breastplates like the breastplates of iron.
The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, many horses rushing for battle.

These demons have the “faces of men” – meaning they work through people (Daniel 7:8).

By crowns of gold, we understand that they work through the respected of society, and deceive men by their status.

They have “hair like women, and teeth like lions” – suggesting that the beauty of women also devours those who do not love the truth.

The Apostle Paul described the deception of these spirits, as teachings that place confidence in the flesh,

the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons . . . forbidding marriage and advocating abstaining from certain foods”

(1 Timothy 4:1).

In Colossians, Paul warned us that this “self abasement and severe treatment of the body, has no value against fleshly indulgence” (Colossians 2:23).

Paul said that in the last days men will become “conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding a form of godliness, although they have denied its power” (2 Timothy 3:4-5).

The Sting of Sin is Death

The Apostle John told us that those who refuse to enter the Sanctified Church in the last days will be tormented by demons that have power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

The scorpion John may have in mind is the Israeli Yellow Scorpion, properly called the Deathstalker. It is common in the Negev Desert of southern Israel. It has a very painful sting that does not normally result in death, but its victims may wish for death.

The plague on the unsaved is sin, and the “sting of sin is death” (1 Corinthians 15:56).

Why is the sting of sin so great in the last days? Simply because man has already learned the truth, and now his condemnation is even greater. Hebrews 10:26 tells us that “if we go on sinning willfully after having received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for our sins.”

Once the truth has been fully revealed, and Jesus’ prayer is fulfilled, the world will know who Jesus is. Men will understand the choice they make. Those who refuse salvation choose death, rather than eternal life.

Revelation 9:6 says that men will desire death and it shall flee from them. Those who reject the truth will fully understand the consequence of their decision to reject Christ and the love of God.

In their rejection of eternal life, they will hate life itself. And Satan will easily gather the kings of the earth for destruction at the place called Armageddon. They will be deceived by the king of the locusts, the “destroyer,” Abaddon, the thief who came to “kill, steal and destroy” (John 10:10).

The Frogs

The release of Satan is described in Revelation 16, as the work of three unclean spirits, “coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs, for they are spirits of demons performing signs which go out to the kings of the whole world” (Revelation 16:13-14). These demons will gain the political power of this world, with their false miracles, and their lies. Verse 19 suggests that “Mystery Babylon” is revived by these unclean spirits. In the last trumpet, “Babylon is split into three parts” (Revelation 16:19). In the Book of Ezekiel, we learn that Gog will be the King of the North that leads the nations to battle. Gog is the head of the Northern Countries that previously embraced Latin theology.

The second plague on Egypt was frogs, “which shall go up and come into your house, into your bedroom, on your bed, into the houses of your servants, on your people, into your ovens, and into your kneading bowls. And the frogs shall come up on you, on your people, and on all your servants.” (Exodus 8:3-4)

These frogs are very similar to the end time plague of locusts described by the Prophet Joel. He said, “they run to and fro in the city, they run on the wall, they climb into the houses, they enter at the windows like a thief” (Joel 2:9).

Gil’s exposition explains these frogs saying, “these unclean spirits as frogs went into the King’s bedchamber, so these get into the private retirements of princes, into their cabinet councils, and stir them up to war and bloodshed.”

The inner chambers of these kings are not a place of prayer in the Holy Spirit, but a place of lust, and worldly pursuit. Their eyes are blinded by the pursuit of this world, and they are given over to the power of demons.
