Not by Might, Nor by Power, but by My Spirit

(Isaiah 2:2; Daniel 2:34-35; 8:9, 24-25; Zechariah 4:6-7)

Daniel described the power of Satan as a “little horn.”1Dan 7:8; 8:9 He said Satan would be great but not by his own power. He deceived the Romans to use their power against Christ and His disciples, and he deceived the bishop of Rome to exalt himself above Christ.

Daniel said he would be “broken without human means.”2Dan 8:25

In Daniel 2, a stone was “cut out from the rock without human hands.”3Dan 2:34 This stone smashed the image seen by Nebuchadnezzar and grew into a great mountain that filled the whole earth.4Dan 2:35 From Isaiah, we know that stone was Christ, and the great mountain was the mountain of the Lord’s House in the last days.5Isa 2:2

Zechariah said the saints would rebuild God’s temple, “not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit.”6Zec 4:6
